At Home and Up Close

The Warwickshire Open Studios 2012 has only a few days left to run,
with the final day of the exhibition being on Sunday,
so we thought we'd show you another little snapshot of our work....

In the gallery which has sometimes been known to
double as a living room.....

Pop by and enjoy the exhibition, we'll look forward to seeing you!!

All you need is Love......

The exhibition opened on Saturday, and we held our
preview for family and friends on Sunday afternoon,
which was great fun, if somewhat tiring!
So far the exhibition has been well received,
with a few red dots already appearing next to pieces.

We'd just like to say a big 'Thank You' to all those lovely art lovers
that have popped by and supported us so far,
and a big 'Don't be shy, come on in!' to everyone else.
And a little reminder of the WORKSHOPS that are being
run in the Studio by Maria.

Let me just explain the above photo...
it was taken on Friday night after a long day of hanging work,
please note we don't normally dress exactly the same,
honestly it was a complete coincidence!
We clearly have spent a lot of time together lately !

A busy week at Studio 60....

It's a busy time for us this week at Studio 60,

lots of making, printing and finishing to do.......

ready to hang the exhibition on Friday!

More snap shots from studio 60

Something is happening inside the studio............

.......and Out!

When the rain keeps falling from the sky

"At Home" at Studio 60
30th June to 15th July 2012

"At home" is the forthcoming exhibition and series of workshops by Textile Artists Maria Thomas and Sharon Mendham, to be held at Studio 60 from 30th June to 15th July 2012 as part of Warwickshire Open Studios.
Inspired by the everyday, the overlooked and the domestic, this is an exhibition that takes a fresh approach to the documenting of Home and life. Beautifully visioned textiles are created with stitch, print, layering and recovery techniques. Individual and collaborative pieces reflect the artists love and passion for colour, cloth, history and future.

This exhibition forms part of Warwickshire Open Studios, which has grown to become the biggest exhibition of unique and original art and craft in Warwickshire, with over 200 artists and makers in 150 venues in and around Leamington Spa, Stratford upon Avon, Kenilworth, Rugby, Warwick, Nuneaton, Shipston on Stour and Coventry.

Exhibition opening times and directions can be found on the STUDIO 60 Workshops page.
